Dialogues in days of danger:

embodied presence in online gestalt practice

Three weeks with Arye Bursztyn

Arye Bursztyn, KIGiP

Registration for this event is closed.

12, 19, 26 June 2025

18:30–21:30 Kyiv time

We invite you to a series of three webinars in which we will explore embodiment, presence and interaction in online gestalt practice.

Together we will discover new ways of working in difficult conditions — through movement, breath, voice, conceptual discussion, practice in small groups and demonstration sessions.

ON THIS PROGRAMME YOU WILL FIND OUT:

  • How to work in an embodied way when the world is unstable?

  • How to keep living contact online?

  • How to support yourself and others during war, immigration, danger and loss?

  • How to integrate bodily experience into the gestalt approach when a screen separates us?

PROGRAMME OF THE WEBINARS

Webinar 1 | 12 June

A shared body practice and an immersion into the theme

«What does it mean to be embodied in an online space?»

  • How does embodiment affect presence and contact in gestalt therapy?

  • Exploring our own state: how do we feel ourselves, our bodies and other people right now?

  • Practising breath, movement and voice to support our own embodiment.

  • Group exercises: how can we «touch» one another through a screen?

  • Discussion: which body practices can support our work online in times of pain and uncertainty?

Webinar 2 | 19 June

  • A demonstration client session with Arye — a chance to see live work.

  • Engaging with the client’s bodily processes through a screen.

  • Work in small groups: practising bodily presence in online dialogue.

  • Open space for questions and reflection.

Webinar 3 | 26 June

Supervision in the Bodymind Gestalt approach

  • A demonstration supervision — how embodiment can support the therapist’s process

  • Exploring our own experience: what do we live through in our work with clients?

  • How to work with your own bodily state?

  • Discussing the challenges of working online: how not to burn out, how to support yourself and your clients?

  • A closing integration of the whole experience of the series.

THE SEMINAR WILL HELP WITH:

  • Widening the range of experience and experiment available for working online.

  • New conceptual foundations for gestalt practice in crisis conditions.

  • Deeper contact with colleagues and support among them.

FORMAT: Online, with consecutive interpreting from English into Ukrainian.

The webinars will be recorded. The recording is only for registered participants of the webinars. The recording will not be sold separately afterwards.
