About me: In my work I use the gestalt approach.

This approach helps the client and the psychotherapist build a partnership in which they respect and trust one another and are able to cooperate and to be open.

Such a relationship provides a safe setting for work with traumatic experience and with difficult feelings.

Living through them together with a psychotherapist, you are no longer alone in your suffering.

Paradoxical as it sounds, it is living feelings through together with someone, rather than alone, that gives the strength and the resource for change, and a place for new experience.

Such living-through is accompanied by an awareness of your needs, of the mechanisms of relating, and of the way you build that relating — so that in the end you do not get what you want, or you cause pain to yourself or others.

Awareness of how things are now makes it possible to choose how they will be tomorrow, and you stop being a hostage of the situation or of a habitual way of living.

Now you have a choice, and choice gives you the power to change something by choosing differently. Choice gives back responsibility for your life and makes you free to live in your own way.

Psychotherapy is not simply work for me; it is also my greatest passion, and so I keep taking part in various educational programmes, studying other methods and approaches, and following new discoveries and directions.

I know how effective psychotherapy is from my own experience, having come to this profession after 7 years of personal therapy and 11 years of training.

At the moment I continue to work on myself, both personally and professionally.
